Full CTP System at Papillon Printing

In 2017, Papillon Printing decided to invest in a complete CTP – Computer to Plate line. This system is designed for exposing offset printing plates, providing full control over the prepress process. Thanks to this investment, the printing house eliminated the need for outsourcing plate burning, increasing production efficiency and reliability.

Structure and functionality of the Screen 4200 machine

The Screen 4200 machine consists of several modules working together in a complete production line. These include the CTP plate feeder, the exposing module, transport bridge, plate developing section, and stacker – the module that collects and arranges finished plates. This design ensures fast, safe, and precise plate preparation while minimizing the risk of damage.

Performance and capabilities

The Screen 4200 CTP system handles B2 format and can process up to 20 plates per hour. As a result, Papillon Printing significantly increased productivity and reduced turnaround time. Investing in a full CTP system represents a step towards modern printing, ensuring high-quality prints and full control over the production process.

Modernity and independence
