Solid Recycled Board in Packaging Printing
Solid recycled board is widely used wherever stiffness plays a crucial role. It is commonly recognized as the thickest type of paper-based material. This dense and rigid paperboard stands out for its compact structure. Thanks to its well-known properties, the board is used across many industries, and its application goes far beyond its primary purpose. It is frequently applied in the pharmaceutical sector for display stands, in advertising, in bookbinding for hardcover books, and of course in paperboard packaging.
Key Features of Solid Recycled Board
As mentioned earlier, this raw material is characterized by very high stiffness and, therefore, exceptional durability. For that reason, it is perfect for sectors where products must meet strict quality requirements and offer strong resistance to mechanical damage. Its surface is flat and smooth, though not particularly decorative in its raw state. To enhance its appearance, the board can be laminated with printed sheets. The material’s performance depends on its weight and thickness, which are closely related. The grammage of solid recycled board typically ranges from 615 g to 2460 g. The most common thickness is 2 mm, although we offer options from 1.4 mm up to 4 mm.
Applications of Solid Recycled Board
Although solid recycled board is most often used in the packaging industry due to its durability and rigidity, its range of applications is much broader. It is used to produce hardcover book covers, binders, beer mats, folders, and calendars. It also serves as a base for puzzles, board games, and various single-unit packages. Consequently, the material is considered a premium-grade raw material, highly valued for its strength, versatility, and excellent performance in packaging printing.
